How Does The Christian Brothers Automotive Franchise Support Its Owners?

When joining a franchise, it’s important to know exactly what those royalty payments will bring. After all, entrepreneurs join a franchise system because it gives them support for building a business.

Christian Brothers offers extensive support to our automotive franchise owners, helping them start, grow and grab market share in their markets.

“Our business model makes it possible to start a multimillion-dollar business with a modest investment from the franchisee,” CEO Mark Carr says.

Christian Brothers is a highly rated, faith-based auto repair franchise with a unique financial model. Christian Brothers assumes a majority of the startup risk by purchasing land and constructing “built-to-suit” buildings, which the franchisee then manages. Christian Brothers does not charge a franchisee based on top-line revenues like virtually every other franchisor, but on a share of the profits, which is calculated after expenses. Franchisees also pay themselves a salary before they pay the franchisor a nickel.

Franchisees receive nearly 250 hours of training focused on leadership and business management, organization and computer software, customer service, automotive systems, bookkeeping and human resources, marketing, operations and sales. Sixty hours of training will take place at Christian Brothers’ corporate headquarters in Houston before store opening, then 75 hours of training are provided on-site at the franchise business. Once the franchise business has operated for eight to 11 months, there are 18 hours of follow-up training provided at headquarters.

Christian Brothers sends its own automotive expert to help with the hiring process. Assembling a team of top-notch auto technicians is imperative for success — yours and ours. We continue to assist franchisees until they are confident and ready to take over the process.

Christian Brothers’ financial software allows the headquarters team to monitor the financial health of your business and to provide coaching to help maximize profits and grow your business.

“Christian Brothers provides all the tools people need to be successful, but just like fixing a car, you’ve got to pick up the tools and use them,” says Steve Peterson, a franchisee in Castle Rock, Colorado. “The nice thing about their mindset is that they will allow you to be successful, and they recognize that there are a lot of different ways to achieve success based on the franchisee’s talents. They are not rigid. They will provide you counsel and guidance if they see you heading in a direction that they have seen fail before, but they give you the freedom to succeed in the way that is most successful.”
