AFTER A DECADE AT MARCH OF DIMES, AMY STEHR DECIDED TO BRING HER MANAGEMENT SKILLS TO SET UP TWO AUTOMOTIVE FRANCHISE LOCATIONS, ALONG WITH HER HUSBAND
For ten years, Amy Stehr was Special Events Director for March of Dimes in Dallas. As it turns out, the mission at the March of Dimes of doing the right thing for the community, honoring God and faith aligned with the values that Christian Brothers Automotive brought to the table. While it was initially Amy’s husband Mark who was drawn to the faith-based automotive franchising opportunity, Amy decided to switch gears herself and dive into the business wholeheartedly.
At the March of Dimes, Amy learned the importance of being able to manage people well to execute successful fundraisers. She brings those same stellar management skills to the two shops she co-owns in Texas, in Rockwall and Forney.
Amy might have switched gears to an entirely new career, but she has kept her faith front and center in her new business and continues to help serve her community. The Stehrs give free oil changes to single moms and widows during special service events, host an annual father-daughter clinic where they teach customers how to change a tire and what to do in the event of an accident, and help repair vehicles for people in dire situations.
One of the many great things about being a franchisee with Christian Brothers Automotive is the reliable support from the extended franchise family. “The doors are always open to any person in the home office,” Amy says. She is especially grateful for her coach, Zach, who helped her and Mark as they switched gears and accelerated growth in their new business.
Franchisees like Amy understand the value of leading by example and work hard at every aspect of their business. In return, they are rewarded with an opportunity to balance work and life and center the business on the faith-based values they hold dear.
