Franchise Training and Support That  Continues Beyond  Opening Day

Stepping into business ownership is a life-changing decision, but you do not have to navigate it alone. At Christian Brothers Automotive, our comprehensive franchise training and support ensures that new owners feel empowered, prepared, and confident from their very first day. Roughly 85 percent of franchisees join our system with zero prior experience in the auto repair industry, making dedicated operational guidance essential.

Whether you want to invest in a franchise for the first time or transition into a new career, our proven system pairs structured education with long-term partnership to build sustainable success.

Ensuring Our Auto Repair Franchises Always Lead the Industry

Franchise Training That Builds Confidence From Day One

Before a new location opens its doors, franchisees receive an intensive franchise training program engineered to build deep operational knowledge and leadership readiness. Far more than a quick introduction to business ownership, this educational journey spans more than 275 hours of initial instruction. This comprehensive preparation combines structured online learning, immersive classroom instruction, and real-world shop experience to equip owners with total operational clarity and management confidence.

The new franchise training sequence begins with approximately 120 hours of self-paced online modules that franchisees complete from home. This foundational phase covers essential topics including financial management, guest satisfaction standards, point-of-sale software systems, local marketing strategies, and human resources best practices.

Following these online modules, owners attend classroom instruction at the Support Center in Houston, Texas, where executive leadership and subject-matter experts guide them through core operational principles and brand values.

A crucial component of this preparation is the hands-on franchise training program spent directly inside operating shops. New owners complete six weeks of immersive field instruction at Certified Training Locations under the direct mentorship of Certified Field Trainers. These six weeks are broken down like this: franchisees spend four weeks working in a Certified Training Location to experience day-to-day operations from a team member perspective, followed by two weeks alongside a Certified Field Trainer to master strategic management, leadership, and administrative roles and responsibilities.

Ongoing Training and Support

Ongoing Franchise Support for Every Stage of Ownership

Opening day is not the finish line, it is merely the beginning of our collaborative relationship. Christian Brothers Automotive provides robust franchise support throughout every phase of business ownership, maintaining a Support Center team-to-franchisee ratio of approximately two to one. Franchisees receive ongoing business coaching and hands-on guidance covering all core operational areas of their store to ensure long-term stability and strategic expansion.

Ongoing training
  • Operations: Standardized workflows, quality control systems, and efficiency benchmarks keep everyday store activities running smoothly and consistently. These systems allow shop owners to track daily productivity metrics, eliminate operational bottlenecks, and maintain high throughput across all service bays effortlessly.
  • Marketing: Brand-wide promotional campaigns, localized digital advertising strategies, and community engagement tactics drive guest acquisition and retention. Dedicated marketing specialists analyze local demographic data and consumer trends to ensure localized campaigns deliver maximum return on marketing investments.
  • Recruiting: Proven hiring tools, structured career path options, and talent sourcing frameworks help owners attract and retain skilled technicians and service advisors. Owners receive initial assistance in building high-performing, guest-focused teams that align with core values as well as ongoing consultation and training regarding staffing as they continue to grow their business.
  • Accounting: Specialized financial analysis, bookkeeping support, and detailed budgeting reviews help owners track profitability and evaluate key performance metrics. Expert accountants assist franchisees in interpreting monthly profit and loss statements to make smarter, data-driven operational decisions.
  • Technology: Dedicated technical support specialists assist with diagnostic software, proprietary ticketing platforms, and digital point-of-sale tools. Regular system updates and rapid IT troubleshooting ensure daily shop workflow and guest communication channels remain completely uninterrupted.
  • Leadership: Ongoing executive coaching and store performance evaluations keep owners focused on strategic growth and long-term team empowerment. Owners participate in structured executive development courses designed to refine management and leadership skills, as well as foster a healthy workplace culture.
This complete network creates a reliable franchise support system that ensures owners never feel left on an island when making critical business decisions.

Local Support Teams for Franchisees

A major factor that sets Christian Brothers Automotive apart from standard automotive repair franchises is our personalized operational network. Instead of routing owners to generic customer service call centers, the Support Center employs full-time support teams for franchisees to foster personal, long-term working relationships built on trust and accessibility.

Every location is partnered with specific Support Center specialists who understand the owner's individual store, local market dynamics, and operational history. These dedicated contacts include:

  • Operations Coach: Provides regular store visits, operational audits, and tailored strategic guidance to optimize daily throughput. These coaches work closely with owners to identify operational efficiencies and streamline overall service delivery.
  • Recruiter: Assists with talent acquisition strategies, helping owners recruit top-tier service staff and certified mechanics. They streamline the hiring process by creating targeted candidate pipelines within the local community.
  • Marketing Specialist: Crafts customized regional marketing plans to boost local visibility and drive repeat customer visits. They continuously monitor and adjust advertising campaigns based on real-time local market performance metrics.
  • Accountant: Offers financial coaching and helps owners interpret store profit and loss statements for smarter operational decisions. They assist franchisees in optimizing cash flow and establishing realistic long-term financial growth targets.
  • Support Center Experts: Technical support specialists and information technology experts remain available to troubleshoot shop diagnostic tools and software systems. They provide rapid solutions to technical issues so daily shop operations continue running smoothly.

Training for Franchisees and Their Entire Team

High-performing stores require a fully aligned team across every day and service desk. Christian Brothers Automotive understands that training for franchisees must extend beyond store owners to encompass every staff member in the shop, creating a sustainable culture of professional growth and continuous improvement.

Continuous learning paths are tailored specifically for various shop roles:

  • Advisors and Sales: Communication development, ethical service recommendation training, and guest relationship strategies are designed to build long-term guest trust. Service advisors learn how to explain complex automotive repairs clearly and transparently to every guest.
  • Technicians: Technical diagnostic classes, manufacturer tool updates, and complex vehicle system troubleshooting modules keep repair skills sharp. Mechanics regularly engage with updated learning materials covering modern vehicle technology and emerging diagnostic procedures.
  • Managers: Approved and qualified shop team leaders can be a part of CBA’s Future Franchise Leadership Academy where they will experience leadership programs and operations management coursework are designed to grow their skillset in preparation for potential future CBA shop ownership.
  • Guest Service: Training centers around guest hospitality, clear explanation of recommended repairs, and maintaining a clean, welcoming front desk environment. Front-desk personnel learn how to deliver exceptional, stress-free hospitality from the moment a guest walks in.

Team members access these learning resources through The Flywheel platform—the brand's digital learning management hub—alongside regular live events, interactive webinars, and targeted regional training sessions hosted throughout the year.

Learn Alongside Other Franchise Owners

Franchise ownership with Christian Brothers Automotive offers a collaborative community environment where peer connections thrive. Rather than top-down corporate oversight, owners experience a supportive network built on mutual encouragement, shared accountability, and collective problem-solving.

Through structured peer groups, owners connect regularly with fellow franchisees across the country to discuss operational insights, review benchmarks, and overcome common management challenges together. The brand also hosts an annual conference that brings together franchisees, vendor partners, and Support Center leadership. This flagship event emphasizes best-practice sharing, interactive networking, leadership development, and collaborative strategy sessions. By encouraging open dialogue and knowledge sharing, the system ensures that an innovation tested in one location can quickly benefit stores system-wide.

Why Continuous Training Creates Stronger Franchise Owners

Ongoing education and support yield tangible benefits for franchisees, turning everyday business management into a streamlined, predictable process. When continuous learning is built into the culture, store owners spend less time solving problems alone and more time growing their business.

  • Comprehensive Initial Education: Owners without automotive backgrounds gain complete clarity when managing daily operations and leading their teams. This structured foundation turns complex business management concepts into practical, achievable daily routines.
  • Dedicated Local Coaches: Strategic decisions are backed by clear financial data and direct guidance from experienced industry specialists. Owners gain confidence knowing their operational adjustments are backed by proven business strategies and executive insights.
  • Store-Wide Staff Modules: Ongoing skills development reduces staff turnover, boosts team morale, and improves overall repair quality. Well-trained employees take greater pride in their work and consistently deliver superior service to every guest.
  • System-Wide Operational Standards: Standardized procedures deliver superior guest experiences that drive repeat visits and positive online reviews. Consistency across all operational areas strengthens brand reputation and builds lasting local guest loyalty.
